Success Story – Aug – Mr. Walker

Mr. Walker was welcomed into St George Healthcare Center after a fall, resulting in multiple fractures in his shoulder and pelvis. Upon admission, Mr. Walker was unable to ambulate or transfer due upper and lower extremity weight bearing restrictions.

Shortly after admission, Mr. Walker contracted COVID causing a further decline in mobility. He states, “I know I have a long way to go but I have got to do it.”  He was determined to improve and return home to his wife.

Eventually, he was able to weight bear through all extremities and began to improve tremendously. With hard work and dedication, Mr. Walker returned home with a rolling walker and is able to complete all functional tasks without assistance. Thank you, Mr. Walker, for your hard work and patience!
