Success Story – Dec – Mrs. Robertson
On admission, she was considered a high fall risk due to difficulty completing everyday tasks and standing balance. Mrs. Roberts participated in intense physical, occupational, and speech therapy for 3 weeks while progressing to high level balance activities. She was able to improve her overall standing balance, reduce her risk of falling and safety. She was such a pleasure to have in the gym and we will all truly miss her at the facility!
Success Story – Nov – Thomas Holt
Thomas Holt was welcomed into St. George Healthcare Center after a deteriorating wound following an amputation making ambulation, transfers, and ADLS difficult. Tommy participated in 4 weeks of skilled physical and occupational therapy, demonstrating determination to meet all his goals. He is now independent in the facility and will be discharging into the community.
Success Story – Oct – Mr. Simmons
Mr. Simmons was welcomed into St George Healthcare Center after a hospital stay resulting in a diagnosis of a stroke.
Upon admission, Mr. Simmons verbalized his desire to improve in order to return to his prior living arrangement.
After 2 weeks of intense rehab, Mr. Simmons was discharged home with independence with a four wheeled walker.
Success Story – Sept – David Strickland
David Strickland was welcomed into St. George Healthcare Center after a fall that resulted in a lower leg fracture. He was dependent upon admission, unable to complete everyday tasks and transfers. David expressed determination to improve his functional abilities and worked hard everyday. He flourished in a group setting. After 8 weeks of rehab, David was discharged home with a wheelchair and is able to complete transfers with supervision.
Success Story – Aug – Mr. Walker
Mr. Walker was welcomed into St George Healthcare Center after a fall, resulting in multiple fractures in his shoulder and pelvis. Upon admission, Mr. Walker was unable to ambulate or transfer due upper and lower extremity weight bearing restrictions.
He was determined to improve and return home to his wife. With hard work and dedication, Mr. Walker returned home with a rolling walker and is able to complete all functional tasks without assistance.
